Take Two is an immersive deep-listening night established in September 2018 by Samuel Ngahane and Jared Proudfoot in Brooklyn, New York. It consists of two elements: an uninterrupted, high-quality playback of a seminal jazz album, followed by a live, modern-day reinterpretation by New York City’s finest musicians.

Whether in a private loft space in Bushwick or a luscious garden in Bed-Stuy, audience members (re-)discover timeless music in an intimate and respectful setting. Musicians are given a full artistic license to choose and present an album in any way they see fit, from strict covers to fully improvised performances based on a riff or theme from the record.
