Our fifteenth edition will feature the king of Afrobeat himself, Fela Kuti, and his 1972 album Shakara. Expect the finest fusion of funk, soul, jazz, and blues laid on top of iconically infectious West African rhythms.

The live reinterpretation will be led by French-Tunisian saxophonist Yacine Boularès and his 6-piece band Ajoyo.

Our fourteenth edition features American trumpeter Don Cherry's 1975 meditative, free, and ecstatic self-titled album known as Brown Rice.

The live reinterpretation is led by Tcheser Holmes, drummer of the critically-acclaimed punk jazz ensemble Irreversible Entanglements, joined by his bandmates and special guests.

Our thirteenth edition will feature the West African heavyweight Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou and their 1973 psychedelic afro funk debut: The 1st Album.

The live reinterpretation will be performed by The Yambateers, a quintet fronted by afrobeat and juju veteran Kaleta who played alongside Fela Kuti and King Sunny Adé.

Our twelfth edition will feature the Israeli trumpeter Avishai Cohen and his Cross My Palm with Silver album released in 2017 on the iconic ECM.

To perform the reinterpretation, the multi-instrumentalist and interdisciplinary Sasha Berliner will lead a world-class quartet.

Our eleventh edition will feature Beyond The Wall, the 2006 spiritual suite from the jazz saxophonist Kenny Garrett.

The live reinterpretation will be arranged and led by Darius Christian, a genre-bending composer-trombonist who you may have seen alongside Rihanna, Solange, and Macy Gray to name a few. His quartet will guide us around the expansive soundscape that brought Tyner's and Coltrane's innovations into the 21st century.

Our tenth edition will feature Solo Monk, the 1965 classic album by the American jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk.

This event will be livestreamed so that you can watch it from the comfort of your own home. You will hear a dozen different interpretations of songs from the album — all by musicians who have performed at our events before.

Our ninth event will feature the interstellar voyager Sun Ra and his 1973 album: Space is the Place.

Joining us from France is the saxophonist, singer, composer, and space traveler Thomas de Pourquery who will lead the reinterpretation with his Supersonic sextet.

Our eighth event will feature the late trumpeter Roy Hargrove and his 2008 album: Earfood.

Named Lincoln Center's Emerging Artist of 2019, bassist Endea Owens will lead the live reinterpretation with her 'Cookout' project, a high-energy sextet made of the next generation of jazz musicians.

Our seventh event will feature vocalist Etta Jones and her 1960 classic album: Don't Go to Strangers.

An intimate duo reinterpretation will be presented by jazz vocalist Lucy Yeghiazaryan, a finalist in the International Monk Jazz Competition. She will be joined by Pasquale Grasso, named by Pat Metheny as the best guitar player he'd heard in his life.

Our sixth event will feature saxophonist Cedric 'Im' Brooks and the Divine Light with their 1973 classic album: From Mento to Reggae to Third World Music.

Nikhil P. Yerawadekar will lead the live reinterpretation and explore the history of Jamaican music alongside another all-star band of musicians. Members of this eight-piece band have played with Cedric "Im" Brooks himself, Lee "Scratch" Perry, The Skatalites, Antibalas, and many more.

Our fifth event will feature Treasure Island, the 1974 classic album by jazz pianist Keith Jarrett and his all-American quartet.

Spencer Zahn will make his anticipated return to lead the live reinterpretation, alongside another all-star band of musicians. Members of this 6-piece have played with the likes of Atoms for Peace, David Byrne, Kimbra, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Norah Jones, Medeski Martin & Wood, Nick Cave, or Keith Jarrett himself.

Our fourth event will feature Spiritual Unity, the 1964 free jazz album by the American jazz saxophonist Albert Ayler with bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Sunny Murray.

The live reinterpretation will be conducted by Will Shore with a motley crew of improvisers in the pursuit of an elusive group spontaneity. With the agility and spirit of free jazz, this 8-piece ensemble will take the momentum of Albert Ayler's iconic motifs and develop fully realized arrangements in real-time.

Our third event will feature In a Silent Way, the 1969 album by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis. This was Miles' first album to feature a full-blown electric approach, which straddles the line between rock and jazz.

The live reinterpretation will be presented by Spencer Zahn with an incredible 6-piece band in tow.

Our second edition will feature the Nigerian multi-instrumentalist Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his 1986 classic album: Teacher Don't Teach Me Nonsense.

The live reinterpretation will be performed by members of Underground System, who have just returned from a national tour on the back of their debut LP What Are You, as well as Antibalas, and Low Mentality.

Our first event will feature the 1964 classic album that popularized bossa nova worldwide: Getz/Gilberto by American saxophonist Stan Getz and Brazilian singer and guitarist João Gilberto, featuring pianist and composer Antônio Carlos Jobim.

The live reinterpretation will be performed by Matt Whyte, a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer.
