Nikhil P. Yerawadekar x From Mento To Reggae To Third World Music

  • Secret Location Brooklyn, NY, 11216 United States (map)

Take Two is an immersive deep-listening night consisting of two elements: an uninterrupted, high-quality playback of a seminal jazz album, followed by a live, modern-day reinterpretation by New York City’s finest musicians.

Our sixth event will feature saxophonist Cedric 'Im' Brooks and the Divine Light with their 1973 classic album: From Mento to Reggae to Third World Music

Nikhil P. Yerawadekar will lead the live reinterpretation and explore the history of Jamaican music alongside another all-star band of musicians. Members of this eight-piece band have played with Cedric "Im" Brooks himself, Lee "Scratch" Perry, The Skatalites, Antibalas, and many more.
